We are a residential General Contractor that specializes in custom home building and excavation/utility work. We are looking for an experienced Excavation Operator and Pipe Installer to join our crew. Work consists of residential sewer and water trenching and service ties, excavation for foundation on all residential structures, and backfilling. If you know how to run a machine and lay pipe, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Operate excavator for residential sewer and water service installations
Excavate around homes with precision to avoid damage to existing structures and utilities
Install and connect sewer and water service lines
Backfill, compact, and restore excavated areas
Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards on the jobsite
Coordinate with Superintendent and PM to keep jobs moving efficiently
Ability to use a laser level and ensure proper grade on sites
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years experience operating an excavator
Experience with residential sewer and water tie-ins
Ability to read grade and work to slope/grade for gravity sewer lines
Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and installation methods
Must be able to identify and work safely around existing utilities
Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
Reliable transportation to jobsites ,truck is preferred
Ability to work with little supervision
Ability to maintain mini excavator and skid steer equipment
