American made violin dated 1912, by R. Moyers from Illinois. This violin was used by a Seattle Youth Symphony player in Seattle, and would be encouraged for a more advanced player. Initial appraisal in in the 1990s was for $3000. With the influx of foreign made instruments, prices have come down, but this remains a quality instrument. (Sorry about my out of tune playing, but I feel the Glazunov Concerto really brings out the high and low tones to listen for in a violin. Strings newer than 1980 will also make a difference). Bow is 10-10 towns; and will need to be re-haired.…
