Old beater, best cash offer, or for those of you who are purists, probably no need to read any further. As I have been telling people for weeks, "if the guitar does not sell or trade, I will be refurbishing it; finish, paint, cleaning, etc., I was thinking of changing the pickups (see below). So, as of 07/03/22, 3:00 pm the guitar has been carefully disassembled. It is on my bench. The first item will be the neck (note; neck is mahogany), as I want to see the wood (boiled linseed oil), not paint; however, there are signatures/initials and the date on the neck and in the cavity, I will be masking these off as for me the original assembly techs names/initials are 1981 keepers!. After the neck/head-stock is finished (Gibson logo) (I had seen videos of worn frets, and these are not, but now might be the best time to replace them also...maybe, hard to tell, as I don't play); using a straight edge metal bar, the neck is perfectly flat and straight right now, so that is great. Simultaneously I will be addressing the body. I'm not sure of the color yet. Anyway, thanks for looking! Please read on if you are still interested, thanks, Charlie.

Update: Guitar has been stripped for paint. Neck is oiled mahogany. Logo is gone (was silk screened, GONE) wet slides, have them, may lacquer the head "face", not sure, struggling with color of body, I like light yellow w/black....but hey, what do I know. I was hoping someone would buy it before I paint it and do their own thing, make it "theirs".
