Responsibilities include taking orders, mixing drinks, checking IDs, maintaining a clean workspace and processing payments, all while working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
• Drink Preparation: Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes or customer specifications.
• Customer Service: Greeting guests warmly, providing recommendations and fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar, tables and tools clean and organized, including washing glassware.
• Stocking/Inventory: Replenishing bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, ice and garnishes.
• Compliance: Verifying customer age (checking IDs) and adhering to all local, state and company alcohol safety regulations.
• POS/Payments: Operating point-of-sale systems, managing tabs and handling cash transactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a bartender.
• In-depth knowledge of mixology, spirits, wine and beer, with the ability to suggest pairings.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong math skills for handling cash and managing inventory.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
Requirements:
• Relevant training, certifications or bartender school training are a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
