Last of the Mk3 Jettas that were produced from ‘93-‘98 and into ‘99-this is a ‘99 Wolfsburg. 2.0L 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual, 4 wheel disc brakes, factory block heater, fog lights, smoked taillights, sunroof, Bilstien front struts, lowering springs. New tires on nice Sport Edition alloys with black chrome Gorilla wheel locks. Converted from clumsy lug bolts to normal studs. New Pacesetter exhaust system. New battery. Power windows, sport seats. Driver’s seat temporarily replaced-disassembled original needs to go to upholstery shop. Needs paint-clear coat failing. Original paint is called Classic Green and is a very dark, rich color. These are fun to drive cars and I was planning to paint this and use as a daily, but too many other projects. One of the rear windows needs attention-motor hums, but may need a regulator—fairly cheap from Rockauto. Door card is off to look at it. Obviously a bit of a project. Also have a parts car available if you want it. It is a ‘96 GL Jetta 4cyl 5 speed, but this one is equipped with ABS, which was really rare option for these cars. Parts car is stuffed with additional MK 3 parts and pieces. Runs great-just serviced at Erik’s Foreign Auto. Can provide report, with list of minor needs. Transmission has had reverse replaced and bolt kit installed in place of rivets on ring gear correcting factory weaknesses.
Optional: Golf hood, grill, and matching Euro headlights (Jolf conversion).
