I just picked a different project so this one needs to go. This is a pretty hard Landcruiser to find in the US. It started its life as a single cab and had the frame lengthened in order to build the rear section of the cab and doors. This was engineered and done by Arkana, a company in AU . It has the stock fuel tank as well as an extra long range aluminum fuel tank. The original 2H engine was replaced by a 6.5L diesel that was professionally installed by Brunswick Diesel in Australia. Has a 5 speed H55F tranny. Aluminum radiator. Older but solid BFG 35" tires that have like new tread. Brakes are great. Nice exhaust system. I also have an AU made canopy from a singlecab that could be shortened to fit it. I bought it from a Land Cruiser mechanic in Oregon this last spring. He did a number of repairs and I did some as well including:
New transmission
Rebuilt transfer case
Clutch
Glow plugs
Injectors
Starter
Injection pump
All 4 tie rod ends
2 new batteries
fuel filter
rubber fuel lines
fuel pump
Block heater now works
Air filter
Engine oil and filter
Cons:
There is rust in the roof, by the snorkel, and along the rocker and bottom of drivers rear door. The AC unit is there but not working.
