On September 2, 2010 we became an Official Grass Roots club of the American Cribbage Congress. Our club is known as the Apple Capital Peggers - Club 379. The American Cribbage Congress, established in 1980, is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the game of cribbage fun and fair for people of all ages. On Tuesdays we hold our Grass Roots tournaments.

In Washington state we currently have 20 local Grass Roots clubs that play cribbage. Clubs meet in small and large towns across the country. Click on the following link to view locations to play in Washington state.

http://www.cribbage.org/grassroots/directory.asp?stateFilter=WA&gameFilter=

For cribbage clubs in other states go to the link above and change the state to see clubs in other areas.

Benefits of playing in a local grass root club include special awards for 28 and 29 cribbage hands, grand slams (winning all 9 games in a session), and friendly competition with people on both the local level and against people from across the country.

Our tournaments are round - robin style instead of a double elimination tournament. All our players play a minimum 7 or 9 games (Tuesday 9 games, Thursday 7 games) with the results recorded on a scorecard.

The score cards are ranked by: 1. Score, 2. Games Won, and 3. Net Spread.

Unlike a double elimination tournament no one is eliminated early.

To find out additional information please contact us thru this posting or stop by the Wenatchee Eagles for more details.

We supply the cribbage boards and cards so just come and have fun with us.
